A.W. Foster, D.Phil., F.R. Hist.S.

Dr Andrew Foster was formerly Director of Research at the University of Chichester and is now an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of Kent and a Visiting Fellow at the University of Southampton. He is an ecclesiastical historian of the early modern British Church, a former Vice-President of the Royal Historical Society, and currently Chairman of the Committee for Public History of the Historical Association.  He has served as Literary Director of the Sussex Record Society since 1985.
